Shepshed Motocross Club is an AMCA afflicated club.

To Race in the AMCA you first have to join your local club, our membership fee is £20 for new members, Returning members £15.

We will then give you a license form for you to fill in, which you will then have to send off to the AMCA, they will then send you back your license, with your race class and number. Licenses run from February to February, unless purchased later in the year, either way they expire in the following February. A further requirement of the AMCA is that you purchase one of their transponders to use at their events, these are £70 and last for 5 years. A buy back scheme is in place to sell up if you decide to quit within the 5 years, this means there are some second hand transponders knocking about at a reduced price, if your lucky!

Licenses are priced depending on type:

Type A costs (Adult £140 / Youth (under 16) £93.00)You pay for your Insurance up front. Your race entries Cost £20.

Type D (Discretionary) costs £60.00. With a D license, you pay less to join but more to race (£31) this works out cheaper if you are only going to race roughly 8 times a year. The difference being that you pay for your insurance with your race entry as a pose to with your license fee.
